It was here that George Killian Letts great grandfather discovered that the soil and climate of his beloved Ireland was perfect for growing barley, and barley when cooked precisely makes a great basis for caramelized malted brew. The distinct red color of this original Irish lager is not a product of additives, the roasting process of the malted barley gives it the intense red color as well as its full bodied fruity flavor. The tradition of Killians Irish Red dates back to 1864.
