Udaipur is known as the City of Lakes because of its many beautiful lakes. This city is also famous for its palaces turned luxurious hotels.
Udaipur is a municipal council and city in the Rjasthan state of India. It is considered as the former Mewar Kingdom s historic capital in the Rajputana Agency. It is also the Udaipur District s administrative headquarters.

It is also known as the City of Lakes because it has the most beautiful lakes in Rjasthan. This would include the Fateh Sagar Lake, Pichola Lake, Swaroop Sagar and the Udai Sagar. Aside from the lakes, Udaipur is famous for the Rajput er Palaces it houses like the Lake Palace that covers a whole island along the Pichola Lake. However, most of the palaces are now luxury hotels.
