Costa Rica is formally termed as "Republic of Costa Rica" is located in Central America . It is bordered by Nicaragua on the North side, Panama to the eastern and southern side with Pacific Ocean to its West side and Caribbean Sea to its eastern side. As the name implies, Costa Rica also means "Rich Coast", with long stretches of alluring and bright beaches. It is also called as "Switzerland of the Americans" because of its scenery, plants and animals, and ecology. Costa Rica is blessed with alluring beauty and pleasant climate. This is the major factor that the industry of tour&tourism has developed immensely in last few years. People from all over the world come to relax and feel the pleasant climate of this alluring country. It is an ideal vacation spot for all the nature lovers worldwide. Most of the people consider Costa Rica as heaven on this planet. Its far beyond words to articulate the real attractiveness of this incredible country-Costa Rica.
Costa Rica provides shelter to huge variety of animals and plants. It includes 5% of the world's complete bio-diversity. You will be amazed to see several national parks and highly protected areas as a tribute to wild animals, birds and plants. Corcovado National Park is one of the well-known national parks in Costa Rica. The 4 Costarican monkeys are all found here. Tortuguero National Park- Tortuguero means full of Turtles, offers protection to howler, spider and white throated Capuchin monkeys, several species of birds as well as enormous range of reptiles. National parks are home and nesting to the endangered species of turtle-green turtle and also a safe place to nest for animals like leatherback, loggerhead and hawksbill. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is shelter to higher than 2000 plant species with many orchids. Various animals are also found here. Thus, it is truly great seeing these spots to amaze yourself with immense biodiversity found here.

Just like the developed European countries, the culture in Costa Rica resembles it. Christianity is the main and principal religion here, whereas Roman Catholicism is the recognized state religion. But it also allows freedom of religion. Thus, you will find the Christian culture prevailing in this God-blessed country-Costa Rica. More than 97% of the people speak Spanish language and this is the native language of Costa Rica. Currently, Latin American culture exists here but the Pre-Columbian culture is mostly absent. The highly respected Christian religion as well as the widely spoken Spanish language form the two main pillars of Costa Rican culture. But, lot of efforts are taken by the department of youth, culture and sports to support the cultural life in Costa Rica. The Costa Rican culture is specially promoted by the National Symphony Orchestra and Youth Symphony of Costa Rica. Guitar is the most well-known musical tool and is particularly used in folk dances of Costa Rica. Reggae and Reggaton are popular dance forms here along with salsa, cumbia, soca, meringue, bachata, and Costa Rican swing. Thus, Costa Rica is actually a fun-filled country where people truly enjoy their lives to the highest.
