Tomorrow night I will be at a special meeting for high level network marketers and I will be there taking video with my new Flip Video camera. Within five minutes of getting home from that meeting I will have sent short video clips to dozens of the company's key leaders who will all in turn forward it to their team members and so on. Communicating with our downlines like this in times past would have required days of production time, hundreds of hours of labor and cost thousands of dollars, yet you and I can now do it in a matter of minutes and for pennies.
Advances in technology like this are making the network marketing industry better, faster, easier, and more fun. Think about how far we've come - when I first started in MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) we did not have mobile phones and long distance charges were ten times what they are today. Just a few short years ago we signed up new recruits with paper applications and we tracked our downlines manually. Today we can download the latest corporate training to our iPod, we can watch a new company DVD while driving down the highway, we can send an instant message, text, email or video to our entire team at the push of a button, commissions are shown to us in real time and we can give a full company Power Point presentation over the Internet to a dozen different people at the same time.

What's exciting to think about is how technology like this is going to help explode the network marketing industry in the coming years. In network marketing we often speak of exponential growth but when you add technology to the mix, which by itself is growing at an exponential rate, we now have two multipliers working in concert. The successful network marketers of tomorrow will leverage these two powerful forces for maximum growth and profitability, which is why I strongly believe we have yet to see how just how fast the network marketing industry is going to grow and how big its going to become. Having said that, its only those of us who know how to leverage technology inside of our network marketing businesses who will be positioned to take advantage of these future opportunities.
Who could have envisioned anything like Facebook.com just a few years ago, and yet Facebook.com is fast becoming a sort of recruiting heaven for many network marketers who are learning how to its power. Products like DownlineMotivator.com or DimDim.com are re-shaping recruiting strategies and although basic human nature will never change, the way and manner in which we communicate about our products and opportunities will continue to evolve. The network marketer of tomorrow must be able to harness the latest and greatest MLM tools or run the risk of being left behind by all the people who do. In order to make a profit in your network marketing business now and on into the future is going to require that you tap the efficiencies of latest business building tools, technologies and strategies.
One way for you to keep up with the future is to become a informed practitioner of these technologies and to begin to apply them to your business. The network marketing industry is here to stay and advances in technology are inevitable. The business building strategies of tomorrow require that you keep step, stay informed and increase your knowledge or you will fast become an outsider to this great industry.
