A Gift Basket Can Be A Wonderful Way To Help Someone In The Hospital Feel Better

A gourmet gift basket was the best way to cheer up my elderly aunt when she had an accident and fractured her ankle. She broke her ankle as she was walking out to her clothesline as she had been preparing to dry a load of freshly done laundry Spot, her Yorkshire Terrier was lying in the grass taking a nap when my aunt, vision impeded by the height of her piled clothing, tripped on him and hit the ground, strewing her fresh laundry all around. The result of her fall was a shattered ankle bone and a journey in an ambulance.
She felt fairly ashamed for some reason and demanded that none of us go to her in the hospital. We, of course, knew that this was just posturing and decided that we would visit and bring her a gift basket. Oddly, none of us had ever bought a gift basket previously in our lives, let alone any gourmet gift baskets. We all assumed that we could get what we required from the gift shop in the hospital. Our dreams were dashed when we found to our dismay that the gift shop held very little in terms of gift baskets.

I know my aunt's personality well enough to know that she would have hated all of the gift store offerings. We then figured it could work if we searched through the offerings at a flower store near the hospital for an appropriate gift. We put our visit to Auntie on pause and made the drive. We drove rapidly, getting there more quickly than we should have, only to find out that the offered gift baskets were not appropriate for Auntie.
Our mood was down on our return as all we had to show for it was a bouquet of lilies wrapped in plastic. When the flowers were presented to her, her visage fell a little and she just gave a small smile of thanks. We spent a long time complaining about the circumstances when we got back to our house. And then the greatest idea of my life came to me and I resolved to take my hunt to the internet. Within moments, we uncovered a website that had anything we could ever want.
We found family gift baskets, a corporate gift basket, a baby gift basket, a Christmas gift basket, a holiday gift basket, and quite a few specialty theme gift baskets that would be ideal for gifts for other family members should they end up in the hospital. We found a great one for Auntie and she thought it was amazing.
