The republic of Ecuador is celebrating the 200th birth anniversary of Charles Darwin. He was famous for his 'theory of evolution' and 'origin of species'. And the tourist entry has just started to trickle
The country is situated in the North West corner of South America.. It is the most adventurous travel voyage. Many colonial structures, landscapes, forests are there. The famous Panama hat also comes from here. If you travel to the country in the month of May, you could see the birds mating and turtles nesting on the beaches. The peak tourist period to Ecuador is from June to September and also in the winter from mid December to mid January.

Ecuador has two important cities Quito and Guayaquil.. While Quito is the center of Ecuador Guayaquil is the capital of Guaya's region.. This is the place, where in the Santa Cruz Island you will see the study center of CHARLES DARWIN. The Islands have desert like vegetation. But Amazon is a rain forest.
You can see here the famous Yasuni National Park The park is the most biologically diverse forest of the world.. The park was named by UNESCO in 1989 as a biosphere preserve. One tribe Tagaeri and another Taromenane live there. They live in isolation. It also has {likely high oil reserves..
The Galapagos Islands and its surroundings are world heritage sites.. As you cruise in and around the landmass you will see, sea turtles, sharks, dolphins' sea horses and many varieties of sea creatures. You also find variety of birds. Albatross, flamingo, gulls and penguins. They are major attractions. While you travel on land you can see the wood pecker, hawk, owl, butterflies, bats, monkeys, parrots, etc. You can undertake an adventurous journey to the Amazon jungle..You can travel in a get together or can also ask for a private tour. The forest is in the eastern part of the country. It understand heavy rainfall and consequently has a high humidity level. Volcanoes are active here. You have beautiful jungle resorts.
