Use Flea Medicine to Kill More than Just Fleas

It's no secret that dogs love the great outdoors. They love jumping in muddy puddles, playing tag with other dogs, and generally being sweet, happy and lovable companions. But even in the best kind of weather, your dog can be under siege from a whole host of biting insects and parasites. Fleas and ticks are the most common, but there's also the threat of biting flies, chewing lice and mosquitoes – any of which can carry disease. So what's a pet parent to do? Personally, I like medicines that multitask – which is why I chose K9 Advantix for my dogs.

Doing the Job of Four Medications at Once

Normally, you'd have to drag your dog (uncooperatively, mind you) to the vet, pay the vet bill and then buy one medication to kill fleas, another to kill ticks, one to kill mosquitoes and biting flies, and one for chewing lice. That's four different types of medicine that you have to give to your dog – possibly on a daily basis. Not to mention the cost and effort involved in trying to get your dog to take a pill – or worse yet – take a bath! Instead, I just put one application of K9 Advantix on my dogs and know that it's doing the job of four different medicines at once.

How Does it Work?

The medication works to kill and repel fleas, ticks, biting flies, chewing lice and mosquitoes for up to 30 days. It also keeps fleas from making your home their home by infesting your bedding, furniture or your pet's bedding. You'll be glad to know that it also kills fleas at different stages in their life cycle – including flea eggs, pupae, larvae and adult fleas. Basically, K9 Advantix is a defensive barrier that kills and prevents the worst of biting bugs, mites and other nuisances.

How Soon Will You See Results?

Many pet owners, myself included, have started seeing results within a day or so with K9 Advantix. The medicine works consistently for up to a month, so just one application gives your dog up to 30 days of protection from all the aforementioned aggravations (except for the vet, of course!) If you live in a warm or wet climate where bugs and pests tend to breed like wildfire, you already know what a life-saver it can be to have plenty of flea and tick medication on hand.

Flea Medication Without a Vet Prescription

I buy several doses in bulk online – not just because I have multiple dogs, but because I know that continuing to apply the medicine every month will keep preventing fleas, ticks, lice and mosquitoes from bothering my dogs. And you don't need a prescription from your vet (although before treating your pet, visiting the vet is still a good idea). K9 Advantix is also waterproof, so your dog can still play in the sprinkler and leap through puddles without the worry that the medicine will wash off or rub off. I have yet to find anything short of a good bath that will get rid of the smells of a happy, wet dog though!
