It is easy to understand why the camera has been seen as a breakthrough invention of science. We all have at least one camera we like to take with us on all our journeys.

We all love surprising our lovers, friends and family in all kind of situations. The reason we do that is that we want that moment to last forever and to be able to see it again whenever we want.

However, it wasn’t always like that. In the days before photography allowed the instant capture of a scene, painters were seen as those magic artists that were able to transform the present into eternity by using only brushes, colors and canvas.

It wasn’t that easy to make a moment last in those days. It took a much longer time then to capture a moment, as the artist would need time to paint not only the characters, but also their feelings, that sparkle in their eyes that the more modern technique may or may not capture. The artistic eye of painters was able to see and describe much more than a digital camera would have.

It was difficult to capture important or just amusing moments in one’s life in those times. However, that’s what made it so special.

The moment wasn’t captured in less than a second like nowadays. I know some may say that it was a waste of time posing with your lover for a portrait. However, I like seeing the beautiful part of that – there was a bond between lovers developing there. The both of them would always remember that one moment in time. The painter himself had the chance to bond with his models and be a witness to their love and try to communicate it with colors.

Turning your photo into a canvas painting would be a great opportunity of turning a special moment you have lived into a totally magic one. This way, you can turn your photo into a painting and hang it on the walls just like kings and queens of Europe did. You rarely remember when you took some picture using your camera, by painting it you will never forget that moment.

If you want it to last forever, then make it special. We all take photos, there’s nothing special in that as people have been doing it for about 200 years. That’s why a canvas painting is something extraordinary, as most people don’t have them.

The painting will always be more special than the photo as the artist will pass the image through his emotional filter and will always come up with little elements in order to surprise life in his painting.

Turning a photo into a painting would be a great gift for someone you love, for a friend’s birthday or for your parents that are celebrating 25 years of marriage. Having canvas paintings in your house is something totally magical as you are always seeing them differently than the first time.
