Police lightbars can prove to be extremely useful during emergencies of varied nature. They can offer bright lighting for rescue and search operations or to illuminate the road while traversing on dark highways. They also prove to be useful when emergency vehicles need to get the attention of other vehicles or motorists on the road for one reason or the other. One of the most important aspects of a light bar that contributes to their reliability is their modular design. These light bars comprise of several individual LED modules which are configured to operate together. Similarly, the LED modules comprise of 4 to 8, 1W LEDs which can provide ultra-bright lighting. Even if an individual LED module or an LED is not functioning properly, you would still have backup.

The other advantage of the modular design adopted by police lightbars is that any individual component can be repaired or replaced with ease. All you need to do is remove a few screws and you can access even the tiniest of components on the light bar. In fact, this is what makes light bars so easy to install or dismantle depending upon your requirement. The light bars are sleek and usually have an aerodynamically efficient structure with a lower height to reduce drag resistance and a rattling sound that can come at high speeds. Slimmer light bars come with multiple rows of LEDs configured to operate together. A built in flash pattern can enable the LEDs to turn on and off in sequences and patterns that can further enhance the effectiveness of a signal.

LED police lightbars come with a variety of flash patterns, which can further be enhanced through the use of dual coloured LED modules that have LEDs in two different colours. On top of that, you can also make use of the additional flexibility offered by multiple intensity modes that can help in controlling the lighting output. You can use dimmers when bright flashing is not required. There are push button switches to turn off the flashes if you want a steady and focussed light beam. You can also use cruise lighting modes and high intensity lighting modes. Alley lights and flashing takedowns are also provided in some full-length light bars. Apart from the programming modes, you also have the additional flexibility of operating multiple flash patterns in different segments of the light bar.

There are police lightbars that provide individual control of different segments along with an all bar control switch. There are customizable flash patterns too which can enhance the visibility of the warning signal. There are light bars with vehicle strap kits, mounting brackets, and traffic advisor sticks. The traffic advisors can flash massive arrow signs in multiple colours to redirect traffic when needed. Light bars can use varying flashing rates as well to convey the intensity of the emergency. Similarly, special flash patterns like quad bursts can generate maximum lighting output creating a warning signal that can be spotted from a very great distance.
