Shopping is a complex activity that women enjoy doing even if they complain about it. It must be this sense of enjoyment that men will never truly understand. After all, what do men buy? If it is only apparel and accessories, you might think of only three colors anyway - black, brown and gray. When we talk about women's fashion, on the other hand, a whole article might be too short to discuss style, color, sizes, lengths and whatever other factor comes into the making of clothes and shoes. We would need a novel for that. On second thoughts, we would need a series of novels that would measure up to the length of Lord of the Rings for that.
Most times, women get their daily workout from racing through shoe store after shoe store looking aggressively for the perfect pair of shoes. It would be Cinderella all over again, where womens shoes play a big role in how a woman's life turns out. The act of shopping would be akin to searching for the proverbial fairy godmother, perhaps, that one person who will magically churn out that perfect pair of glass slippers that would fit only the person to whom the pair is magically bestowed. Sometimes, though, this form of workout becomes overrated and exhausting, and then, it becomes time to try out something different.

If you are talking about magic anyway, you might as well talk about taking chances, about trusting that the perfect pair of womens shoes would materialize on your feet just like in fairy tales. Just like love, which a song says you cannot hurry anyway, it might seem like you have already found the perfect pair only to realize a few shoe stores later that that seemingly perfect pair of womens shoes just does not do its job. Why would men, whom studies say are generally polygamous anyway, not get it when women fall in love with four or a hundred pairs of shoes, when these men do it all the time anyway - the chest of Scarlett Johansson, the legs of Gisele Bündchen, the face of Audrey Hepburn, the intellect of Katharine Hepburn, the talent of Meryl Streep? Why would men not get it that the perfect pair combines all of the above and because women have not found it yet, it is necessary to go home with those that exhibit at least some of the desired characteristics?
Despite the occasional misunderstandings about women's wandering eyes when it comes to footwear, do men not truly appreciate the astounding beauty of a well-fitting pair of stilettos adorning a woman's foot? That women need their help with trying on some one hundred pairs of shoes to get to that unique pair of pumps that they now admire should be assumed. Men should let themselves be willingly dragged around shoe store after shoe store if they are going to pleasure themselves with the eventual loveliness that is the result of women's discriminating taste. That is in fact, the least that they can do in the face of this situation.
