Unplanned pregnancies can send female into a tailspin of blame, shame and of fear for their future, no matter how rich or poor, young or mature they are. Even if you were planning a baby or trying to conceive, pregnancy can be overwhelming; when it's unplanned and unwanted, that feeling only intensifies. Incubating a child, not to mention the whole birthing process, is not an easy or carefree job, and when your personal state of affairs doesn't or can't allow for the possibility of having a baby you may find yourself in over your head.
It doesn't matter whether you're a mature woman who already has other children or you're a frightened teenager facing the penalties of a youthful indiscretion; there's always a choice involved in an unplanned pregnancy. When you understand that unexpected or unwanted positive on your at-home pregnancy exam, three basic options will run through your head. They can raise their baby, have an abortion, or put the child up for adoption where they will find caring, welcoming parents who will provide for them the care and attention all babies need.

It's an depressing fact that many women with unplanned pregnancies go the abortion option; this is usually due to a lack of information or understanding of what adoption is or what it entails. This choice often leads to pain and regret on the part of the mom. This pain can be avoided with a little more knowledge of what adoption is, and how it can aid women with unplanned pregnancies make the best possible choice for the child they helped to make.
Agencies exist for the sole purpose of helping women in a situation where they cannot or will not raise their baby to find a home for that child, wherein the child will be loved and cared for. After all, just because you're not able or willing to care for this baby doesn't imply you don't want them to be happy, healthy and cared for.
The adoption course offers a warm, welcoming home to babies who might not have one. More than that, it also gives sterile couples the ability to raise, care for and love children despite their inability to get pregnant.
Although for the birth mothers in unplanned pregnancies this can be a terrifying situation, for childless couples, adoption is a true blessing. With the right adoption firm, you'll know you're doing what's best not only for the baby, but also for yourself and that childless couple for whom this baby will be an honest blessing. Adoption can be a process, but with the help of specialized agencies that offer women their services for the adoption of children, it can be worthwhile in so many ways. This way, when you look back at your unplanned pregnancy, you'll have the joy of knowing that you did what was best for that baby and, in doing so, helped to begin a whole new, happy family.
