That way, the dog will start to associate good or interesting things with seeing animals that would have upset him or her in the past.
When in training with your new puppy, don't play rough games like tug of war. These games often encourage a puppy to start biting. There is no way that you want them to exhibit that type of behavior. When they are older you will be able to play those games with them without causing them to act out when not playing the game.
Your dog should not get a cold voice from you because of a personal conflict with another human or the fact you got stuck in traffic. Remember: if your dog has not done something wrong immediately beforehand, your interactions should always be positive.
Be consistent when dog training. Write down the specific commands you want to use with your dog, and get everyone in your household to review the list and use the same words. It is also recommended that everyone use the same positive reinforcements for good behavior and negative response when the dog is disobedient. If different people in your household respond to the dog in different ways, it becomes confusing for the dog and less likely they will respond in the appropriate way.
