Sole treadmills are one of the more popular treadmills with buyers today. They offer treadmills from $999 starter machines all the way up to a $2299 luxury model.
While Sole doesn't necessarily throw as much money towards advertising as some other brands do, these treadmills are still highly popular.

Why is this? Here are 3 reasons I think Sole is one of the better treadmill brands out there right now:
#1 Commercial Grade Parts and Construction
Sole uses a heavier grade of construction in their treadmills than many department store brands (Sole treadmills have been used in commercial settings like Hilton hotels for years which partially explains the higher end construction).
For example, they use industrial size motors, heavy duty flywheels (flywheels cause the motor to run cooler with less amp draw and it extends the life of the motor), large 2.75" rollers, copper ground wires for each roller to reduce static, and all steel welded frames.
The tougher construction makes these treadmills ideal for runners or anyone looking for a commercial grade treadmill without the commercial price tag.
#2 Excellent Cushioning
Years ago, I injured myself by running on a cheap treadmill with poor cushioning. So I know first-hand how important a well cushioned treadmill is - especially for runners. Runners need the extra protection for their knees, hips, back and ankles.
Sole uses what is called a CushionFlex system in most of their treadmills (except the F63). This is one of the best cushioning systems on the market. But there are a few things to be aware of. First of all, not all Sole treadmills are the same. The starter treadmills come with less in terms of cushioning, warranty and belt length.
Also, the newer models (2011 - just introduced about a month ago) come with larger walking areas and brighter, better-looking consoles, so you may want to go for a newer model instead of the older models (which still go under the same model names.)
Bottom line? No matter what treadmill you choose to go with, make sure you take your time, do your research and choose a treadmill that gets you excited about using it!
