Article Marketing

You can write, right? One free method that can serve as a lasting source of leads is article marketing. There are several vital things take into consideration with this strategy..


1. What keywords will your article be focusing on (what is your article going to be about)?
2. Your article needs to be posted online, but where? Is this post going on a blog or site you own? Or on another site online somewhere.?
3. How will you go about extending the reach of your article?


In the end, to get the most out of article marketing, you cannot just throw an article up somewhere and hope that people read it. Planning ahead by answering the questions above helps ensure that you are getting the most out of the time you invest in this strategy!

Video Marketing

Video marketing can be incredibly powerful, but as with articles, you have to approach this strategy the right way. Regrettably, plenty of marketers visualize video marketing as setting up a YouTube channel and talking about their business - if that's the way you approach this strategy you'll be missing out, big time!

Forum Marketing

Forums can be a great spot to meet people, particularly one of your hottest target markets: other network marketers. It is very important though, that you don't join forums and just pitch your business. That is the quickest way to ruin your reputation on that forum.

If you are going to employ this marketing strategy, it's important that you keep a couple of things in mind:

1. Don't try and sell people on your online business opportunity.
2. Do fill out your profile if applicable.
3. Make sure you upload a photograph of yourself - let people identify with you and put a face to your name.
4. Take some time to add to the conversation.
5. Stay away from posting links in the body of your post (unless that link is part of the point you are making). Affiliate/Capture page links ALWAYS go in your signature file.
6. Use the links in your signature to send people to personally branded websites (blogs or capture pages). They're clicking the link because they are interested in YOU as a person, so always deliver on that.
7. Be consistent and be patient.
8. Join forums that are active and get a good quantity of traffic.

Social Media Marketing

When used properly, sites like Facebook, Twitter and other social media can be extremely powerful lead sources. No surprise here: Don't pitch your opportunity!

Think of it this way. When you met someone for the very first time in person, would you say "Hey, do you want to join my business opportunity?" Of course not. (I hope not, anyway ;))

So, why do people do that on social media sites? Meet people, build relationships with them and again, provide value. The people you meet will gradually learn to trust and respect you. From there their own natural curiosity will turn them into prospects for your business, by looking for information and links you've provided. Make sure those links aren't pointing at generic sites though, remember it's YOU these people are interested in following!

These three strategies ought to be enough to get you started! A couple of things to keep in mind:

1. Patience and consistent effort are the keys to success with these tactics.
2. Trying to tackle all of these at once is a recipe for failure. Take some time to master one strategy at a time before adding another one into the mix.

If you try to tackle them all at once, it will be overwhelming. It's better to devote more time to less methods, than less time to more methods. Once you master each tactic, you can add a new one into your marketing plan!
