The electrical cords should be taped down, and cords on the blinds and curtains really should be upped in order to keep them out of the reach of kids. All household cleaners and medications can be dangerous and should be kept out of the reach of kids. Simple looking items, such as nail polish and bath oils, can be hazardous if ingested by the toddler. These could be locked away in a high cabinet.

Safety gates can be installed at places one wants to keep out of the reach of children, such as stairs, bathrooms, and the kitchen.
