There are different kinds of wild life destruction that happens in the environment. Whether it is on land or in body of water humans never fail to make the life of the animals miserable. One of the major causes of fish kills in the ocean is oil spill. What is oil spill? What are the animals that are affected by this kind of pollution?
Oil spill is the spilling of oil tankers in the ocean. It might sometimes cause by accidents or just the lack of concerns of some. When a ship sinks this might also cause trouble. It can also be that the some machinery in big boats is having some leakage which results to oil spills. Countries in conflict will also be a cause of oil dumping. The other country will dump oil into the other country causing it the other nation's ocean to be dirty and for its marine ecosystem to deteriorate. On the other hand, Mother Nature can also be the culprit for oil spillage. During hurricane and tsunamis when the current is high and the waves are really big this cause ships to flip over and for oil to be all over the ocean.

A lot of marine life will be destroyed when this happen. Dolphins, whales and other sea creatures suffer from this negligence. Birds as well die because of oil spills especially those who feed on fishes and other sea creatures. In some cases this is the reason why a lot of animals become endangered or extinct.
There are ways to stop oil spill from spreading to the entire body of water and there are also ways on how you to clean oil spill. Placing a boom in the affected area or in a place where animals reside is the first way of defense for people. The device will absorb the oil preventing it from spreading to another part of the ocean. Burning the oil is a risky thing because it can create pollution however; in some cases this is also being used.
Oil is use in many things. We use oil in cooking, in listening to our favorite music because oil is one component in the CD that we put in our component. We even use oil in medicines and in our bikes to lubricate the pedal and the chain of our bicycles. As oil is very important we must see to it that we use it wisely and prevent oil spill from happening. Create awareness on the disadvantages of oil spills in oceans and in the creatures that is living underwater and all the animals which lives revolve around the biggest body of water is what you can contribute to the environment.

Even in big companies, they need waste oil heaters and clean burn waste oil furnace for them to be able to reuse oil to save money and as well as to save Mother Nature. You too can have your own small contribution to help save the Earth from total destruction.
