There are numerous places to visit in Jamshedpur, each place offering a very interesting history. Aside from the popular places mentioned below, there are still numerous sites that you can visit in this wonderful city.

Jamshedpur is a city within the Jharkhand state in India. This city was established by Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata. The city is often called Tatanagar after its founder Jamshedji Tata. The city is located within the eastern portion of Singhbhum. It is also found along the plateau of Chota Nagpur. The city is surrounded by beautiful sceneries of the Dalma Hills. The Subarnarekha River borders the city to the northern part of Jamshedpur. While to the west, the bordering river is that of Kharkai.

There are a lot to explore in this city. It is covered with numerous interesting places that surely is an enjoyable vacation spree. Below is a list of famous tourist spots in Jamshedpur:

The Laser Show

This is a performance of lights complete with musical fountains. It is the first of its kind in the whole country of India. The show is an educational, entertaining and a truly unique spectacle for everyone to enjoy. This performance was first introduced in India during the celebration of the 2000 millennium.

Dalma Hills

This is a place that promises very beautiful sceneries. The hills are found along the northern part of the Subarnarenkha River. It stretches around 16 kilometers from side to side. It is easy to get here via the main road. This site is very popular for herds of elephants. There are also facilities within the area that are built for mountain climbing and trekking activities.

Bhuveneshwari Mandir

This site is situated on the Telco colony within the vicinity of the VBCV School. It is on top of a hill within the city. It guarantees very good views of the south and eastern portion of the city.

Ghatsila

This place is a township that is very well known for its copper factory. It is located around 37 kilometers from the western portion of the city. Furthermore, it is a great town that is very popular for its beauty.

Jubilee Park

This is a gift from Tata Steel to the locals of Jamshedpur during its completion of 50 years. The park was inaugurated in the year 1956 by the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawahae Lal Nehru. The park is about 225 acres or 0.91 sq. kilometers. It also has a lake and a rose garden. Moreover, it has an avenue filled with landscaped Ashok trees as well as water cascades and fountains that run also at night. This park is the perfect site for cyclists, morning walkers, angler and joggers. There are several recreational activities within the parks premises.

Rivers Meet

This site is also called Domuhani. It has a very soothing and relaxing ambience brought about by the confluence of the rivers Kharkai and Subarnarekha. This particular site is a good place for picnics. It is located at the extreme northern and western portion of the city.

Gol Pahari Mandir

This place is just located on the outskirts of this amazing city in Jamshedpur. The Gol Pahari is well known for its Pahari Mandir wherein the reigning deity is Pahari Maa. This temple, called mandir by the locals, is established on a hill near the railway station of Tatanagar. They have a yearly festival that is organized at the Loco Colony Railway so as to worship their deity Pahari Maa.

Bhatia Park

This fascinating park lies at the Shastri Nagar. It is just near the banks of the river Subernarekha. It is found in Uliyaan, Kadma.
