Mathura is interconnected with Krishna. It is very rich in history and culture.
The Mathura is known to be the land of Krishna. It was said to be that Mathura and Krishna are meant to be inseparable. The bond stems back from the time the Lord Krishna was born in Mathura. This is the place where he had lived his life from birth to death. Mathura is always reminded of the people of Krishna.

Krishna Janambhoomi temple is one important place in Mathura that tourists must go to. It is in the heart of the city. This was supposed to be in the birth place of Krishna but not made possible. The temple had just stored a stone slab of the birth place of Krishna. Another tourist spot is the Dwarkadhist temple which is a way to Yamuna. This is a brimming tourist spot all year round.
The famous Kusum Sarovar is the famous tank where milkmaids have flirted with Krishna. They have done this by giving him flowers. The government Museum also has its important role. This houses the Kushana period statues. Most of the statues here are properties of Gandhara School. These Gandhara School statues include excursions and the statues of Barsana, Nandgaon and Vrindavan. Everything placed in this museum has some sort of connection to the life of Krishna.
Mathura offers their visitors their best milk called Ghee. Make sure you get to taste this milk at least once in your lifetime. They also have sweetmeats like Peda and Khurchan with a subtle sweet taste just right on your palettes. You can buy some to bring home as presents to your loved ones.
Mathura is slowly gaining its own respect as a tourist destination. Visitors’ traffic is increasing every year. For Mathura’s part, it does not fail the tourists by further enriching their tourist attractions. And part of their goal to serve also is to meet the accommodation needs of these people.
