Turban is an interesting English word used to mean a few kinds of headwear. Generally, turbans are worn by men being a rather popular form headwear. Turbans are designed in such a way to offer the pleasant coolness to the wearer in thirsty, hot and even desert environments, for instance, turbans are widely spread in the Sahara. Besides, a turban is considered to be a symbol of pride in a great number of countries. Thus, for instance, in India The word turban is commonly used as a synonym to pagri and pag. The latter are a form of a headwear worn by men in India. By the way, a Pagri is considered there to be a symbol of honor and respect in all regions where people tend to wear a Pagri.

As far as it is known, India is rich in different flows of religion, the main of which are four in number: Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Christen. And what is interesting is that all representatives of this religion wear a turban but there is some difference in them depending on the religion. Apart from the religion, the style of turban can be determined by the influence of the culture of this or that region of India. The origin of turban goes back to Rajasthan, this is probably the reason why the turban is still considered to be the symbol of Rajasthan. Besides, the Rajasthan and turban are often used as synonyms to each other. In the region of Rajasthan, there're various kinds of turban, nevertheless, the puchrangi turban is the most famous and appreciated in many countries of the world. Tourists like to purchase a Rajasthani turban; when they come to their motherland they often wear it remembering their trip to India.

Nowadays, the market offers many kinds of turbans. And lately, there has been the tendency towards widening the number of styles of turbans, as a result the market of turban has grown drastically. There's also an increasing demand for turbans, more and more people want to have one for themselves. However, it's not only India where there's a high demand for turbans of all kinds, but also all over the world. The Rajasthani turban has reached many countries of the world.

Usually, only men tend to wear a turban nowadays, however, lately, women as well have become interested in wearing a turban. So, in the contemporary market one can also find a woman's turban. The most considerable feature of turban is that it can be worn for many occasions including party, marriage. In addition, turban is a functional kind of headwear. It offers a wonderful look to the wearer as well as adds uniqueness to the personality.

Nowadays, you can find turbans of different styles and colors available in market. But probably, the greatest advantage of turbans is that they can be purchased at a very low price. One can also find a turban of any size, even for small children. By the way, a turban is honor of rajput, ad rajput's are emotionally connected with turban.

Summaing up, it's important to emphasize that a turban is a pride of Indian people and is a symbol of Rajasthan. It doesn't only helps to bear the heat in the Desert, but also offers excellent look to the personality. Rajasthani turbans are the most famous all over the world.
