How do you know if a pair of shoes is suitable for you? If you walk into a shoe shop, you would see rows and rows of shoes on the shelves. Many come in bright and attractive colors. Perhaps this is the reason why some people buy the wrong shoes. They are attracted by the nice designs. But the design is just one factor to consider. There are several other factors to consider when buying a pair of shoes.

First factor: comfort.

Comfort should be your first factor to consider. If you see a design that you like, feel free to try on the shoes. There s no need to be shy about trying on shoes. You can try as many pairs as you want. Make sure that you win a pair of socks to ensure that it s the right fit. What around in the shop if you have to. If you don t feel comfortable enough to walk in the shoes, it is probably not the right pair of shoes for you.

Second factor: structure.

By structure, we mean the overall internal design of the shoes. Many shoes come in very specific designs and structures. Every structure that you see caters to the needs of a specific sports activity. Some are meant for walking, some for running, and others for jumping. You need to know in advance, what you are buying the shoes for. In other words, you should be very clear about when or where you are going to wear the shoes.

Third factor: brand.

Obviously, the brand that you choose affects the pricing as well. Some brands are more expensive because they are better marketed. It is the brand that is costing you additional money. But some brands are more expensive for the right reasons. A lot of research has gone into designing the shoes. For example, special lab research has been done on the shoes to enhance performance. In this case, it is only right that the shoes are more expensive. You are actually investing in technology when you buy such shoes. This can give you an added advantage.

Fourth factor: price.

Price shall be the last factor to consider. Comfort, technology, and reliability should come first. However, if budget is a concern, you still need to pay a little attention to price. The right thing to do is to get the balance right. Let s say there is a pair of shoes that you like very much. It has all the features that you are looking for. The only thing that is stopping you from buying the shoes is the price. So what do you do? You can always choose another brand that costs a little less but still has the same features. It may not be the exact pair of shoes that you want but at least its close enough. That is still better than going home empty handed.

Be sure to choose the right type of shoes for your sport though. If you are playing basketball, you may wish to pick up a pair of Nike Air Force One or Nike Dunks. If you are into running, a pair of Nike athletics shoes may be just what you are looking for. Having the right pair of shoes is important because as mentioned earlier, different sports involve different movements. The shoes are specially built to cater to these movements. You don t want to be wearing a pair of indoor court shoes to run a marathon. That will do more harm than good.
