SkinB5 cures acne by stopping it at it's root. This is a completely different approach from topical acne treatments such as ProActiv which attempt to treat acne at the skin's surface. As I will detail below, the approach of trying to stop acne from within the body actually makes far more sense than attempting to clear it up topically.
The pimples and zits we see on our skin's surface are the results of the problem which causes acne. They are not the problem itself. This is an important distinction to understand because we have to understand where the problem of acne comes from in order to stop that problem.

Acne is caused by an imbalance inside the body. Specifically this imbalance comes from an overproduction of oil by the sebum glands. SkinB5 works because it effectively regulates the sebum glands so that they no longer overproduce oil. It does this primarily through the power of Vitamin B5.
If Vitamin B5 is the principle ingredient which makes SkinB5 work so well then why not just take Vitamin B5 itself? This is a good question but there's also a very good answer. B5 Vitamins are water soluble which means that they are mostly just passed through the body when taken in large amounts. SkinB5 gets around this problem with the use of time release tablets which slowly releases the oil fighting ingredients (B5 along with with an assortment of other vitamins) over time so that your body can make use of them.
Once you realize that the cause of acne comes from within your body the futility of topical acne treatments becomes obvious. It becomes clear why they never work.
From my own personal experience I know that topical acne treatments like those sold in drug stores are a complete waste of time and money. Not only do they not work for clearing up acne, but they often make the problem even worse by making my skin red and irritated. I would be surprised if you do not know exactly what I'm talking about because I think this is a very common experience.
