The only advantage of the commercial pets' foods is that they are convenient to use and cheap to purchase. But do you really need to risk your pet's health?
Taking your pets to the vet proves the fact that the major reason of different eating disorders, diarrhea, loose stools, vomiting, IBS, spastic colon, etc is the commercial cat food. And diarrhea is the third reason why people take their cats to the vet.
Stress
Another reason of cat's diarrhea is stress. Usually cats like peace and quiet but when a family decides to take their beloved cat travelling it stresses so much the animal that the latter gets sick. The matter is that cats don't like to change their places of living as well as their usual noises and smells, water, air quality, humidity, and of course food.
Veterinary Care
Usually if your kitty suffers from diarrhea the vet will prescribe an antibiotic with broad-spectrum capabilities. Besides, you'll be recommended not to feed and give water to your pet during the next 24-48 hours. Antibiotics will kill the bacteria which caused diarrhea, however consider possible side effects of toxic antibiotics.
Non-dairy Probiotics!
Antibiotics have many side effects. But there's another option for cat's treatment - non-dairy probiotics. Have you noticed that cats like eating grass, and even the soil around the grass roots. The matter is that these substances contain soil-based organisms (SBOs)- non-dairy probiotics. The latter are able to restore and support GI health. Without SBOs good digestion is impossible.
SBOs may be successfully used when your cat has the diarrhea or vomiting. But if there's intestinal inflammation, don't use SBOs and other medications. Here it's better to use herbal anti-inflammatories in order to prevent immune disorders/diseases.
