Associate degrees are the academic degrees which are awarded by the four-year universities, junior colleges, community colleges, business colleges and many other universities who award regularly the bachelor's degrees. The major difference between the bachelor's degree and the associate degree is the total units completed and the amount of time given for the course.

Associate degree are awarded for the two year courses. Some people have the opinion that these associate degree s are of less worth than the bachelor's degree. But this does not at all mean that a person holding associate degree is not knowledgeable in the specialty field. The courses of associate degree reduce its requirements by dropping the subjects from its course list which are not related directly with its field of study. The end result of any course is to provide full knowledge about the specific areas of interest. Therefore, it can be clearly said that the holders of the associate degree are full qualified people as per their field of specialization.

One should think of doing it with an extra subjects. A person can concentrate on matters which are important for improving the nursing skills and knowledge.

These programs are less costly than the programs of bachelor's degree. The total cost for the whole program can be reduced by large percentage by doing these courses with the classes and units which are outside the specialized field. These savings are not only beneficial for the fees of the course but are also helpful for the cost of living. By completing the course in just two years rather than four, you are saving your time as well as you are getting to earn quickly and then you can easily pay off your loans.
