There. See? Not everyone is going to like hearing that, but there it is.
Here's what I've learned about internet marketing. It's almost like dieting. Every few months, there's a new best strategy or killer marketing technique.
I'm not denying that there are some great strategies out there, but if you never commit to one and do it consistently, none of them will ever work.
Constantly jumping from one strategy to another is a whole lot like constantly trying new weight loss methods. Don't eat one thing for a week, then focus on getting a lot of something else the week after that, and on and on it goes.
That kind of constant fluctuation would leave your body in complete chaos. Maybe you'd see some initial results here and there, but then you're off to the next miracle method and not really going anywhere fast.
Wouldn't it make more sense to implement some real long term changes in your life? These would be things you could do consistently and build some real results with.
Internet marketing is no different. You need to lay a foundation for whatever marketing you are going to do. You can't spend a week posting videos on YouTube, then get bored and throw a couple thousand dollars into a PPC campaign only to give up and decide article marketing is a better way to go - all in the course of a month - and expect to get any real results from any of them.
Consistent, massive action is the ONLY way to get the most out of ANY strategy. In the end, there really isn't any one perfect marketing technique out there. It all depends on who you are and how you work.
We all have different needs when it comes to things like diet and exercise, because we are all unique. The same goes for marketing: unique people require unique strategies.
