You can write, right? Article marketing can be a very valuable, long-term, free marketing strategy for your network marketing or MLM business. Here are three important things to think about when considering article marketing as a marketing method for your business.
1. What keywords are you going to write about?
2. Your article needs to be posted online, but where? Is this article going on a blog or site you own? Or on another site online somewhere.?
3. How will you go about extending the reach of your article?
You see, article marketing isn't simply tossing an article up on an article directory or an internet site and hoping someone finds it. If you are going to invest the time into all that writing, make sure you are getting the most out of it!
Video Marketing
If you know what you're doing, video marketing can produce a tremendous amount of prospects - but if you don't take the time to research the strategy before you start, you'll miss out on a lot of those leads. There's more to video marketing than throwing two or three videos of yourself up on YouTube and hoping people find them - but thats exactly how countless marketers approach this strategy. If this is what you're doing, or planning to do, you're leaving some huge cash behind!
Forum Marketing
One of the top niches to go after when generating leads is other network marketers - and forums can be a great spot to meet them. Now, that doesn't mean you should join a forum and start trying to pitch your online business. Quite the opposite in fact. Join a forum and start selling, selling, selling and people will not just tune you out, but they never respect or trust you.
If you are going to employ this marketing strategy, it is vital that you keep a handful of things in mind:
1. Don't pitch your opportunity.
2. Fill out our profile. Show that you're a real person, and not only someone trying to make sales.
3. Don't forget to upload an image.
4. Add value to the community by sharing your thoughts and opinions.
5. Steer clear of posting links in the body of your post (unless that link is part of the point you're making). Affiliate/Capture page links ALWAYS go in your signature file.
6. Use the links in your signature to send people to personally branded websites (blogs or capture pages). They are clicking the link because they are interested in YOU as a person, so always deliver on that.
7. Be consistent and be patient.
8. Be sure you are joining forums that have a lot of traffic with active members. This ensures you have a bigger audience to interact with.
Social Media Marketing
Social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are usually great places to market, but only when used properly. No surprise here: Don't pitch your opportunity!
Think of it this way. When you met someone for the very first time face to face, would you say "Hey, do you want to join my business opportunity?" Obviously not. (I hope not, anyway ;))
So, why do people do this on social media sites? Meet people, build relationships with them and again, provide value. Your friends will begin to view you as a frontrunner and will seek out whatever opportunity you have to offer when the time is right. Again: no links to generic company websites in your profile here!
These three tactics ought to be enough to get you started! Along the way, make sure to keep these two things in mind:
1. These aren't overnight methods. Be patient. Be consistent.
2. Don't try to do them all at once. Pick one you are comfortable with, master it, and then move on to the next.
Trying to become a master at all of these different strategies would be enough to burn anyone out. Things will go much more smoothly if you tackle one tactic at a time and gradually expand your marketing arsenal.
