It has become regular practice to submit a dissertation report for completion of any degree. Dissertation work is the most important for scoring a good grade for any degree, and presentation, clarity and accuracy of the work are the keys to successful dissertation editing and writing.

Editing and revision of any written document is as important as writing the document itself; you will be unable to impress readers with your paper if it hasn't been well edited.

When your dissertation is being reviewed by the marker, they will be looking for key patterns in your work and also if you have the ability to present your arguments in a clear and consistent way. You should, therefore, consider proofreading, editing and revision of your document to ensure that the research you present will be able to be read with ease.

Your paper should be laid out similar to that of a newspaper article. Having introductory news at the beginning, moderate news in the middle of your paper, and reviewing news that will bring your paper to a close.

Your examiner will also expect that you will have proofread, edited and revised your document to ensure that it doesn't contain any errors. These errors could cause confusion in your writing and also cause the reader to misunderstand the arguments that you put forward - this could, therefore, lead to a lower grade than you were expecting.

Thinking of a situation where, in the past, you have used a different word that didn't quite fit the situation does cause confusion. Mistakenly adding a word with a different meaning can throw the reader totally off balance and cause them to misinterpret what you are trying to put forward.

By not reviewing your paper fully, you could affect the overall meaning that your paper presents to the reader. As the reader progresses, your arguments may deteriorate and the reader becomes bemused to what you have written - resulting in lower marks.

Now, you may be wondering what steps you need to take to thoroughly edit and review your paper. The following few points will help you:

1. Editing - you should consider editing your paper well in advance of your dissertation submission deadline, as you may spot a mistake that will lead to substantial changes in your work. You should also consider editing the individual parts of your paper as you complete them.

b. Follow the proper format of writing your report. Have at least 2 to 3 sample reports with you and follow the format that they use to learn how your paper should be structure. Make each section presents to the reader where they are in the report process.

You will also need to consider the relevant sections of your dissertation thesis that you will want to highlight to the reader, as you will need certain sections and areas that discuss and evaluate a number of areas of your research.

2. Revision - When you are reviewing and revising your work, which you should consider giving a considerable amount of time to, you should review each section and chapter; but also review the paper as a whole.

b. Print off your work. It helps if you review your work on paper, than on the screen in front of you, as this allows you to concentrate more and its easier on your eyes. You will also find it easier to find more mistakes when reviewing your paper in this way.

These are a few steps that, when followed with full sincerity, will make it easier for you achieve a better grade. Finally, you should give equal time and importance to dissertation editing and review, as you have given to the actual writing of your report.
