Holidaying in the EU? Make sure you go AI (All Inclusive)

In recent years, non-Euro destinations have increased in popularity as travellers seek to get more spending money for their pound. Holidays to Turkey, Egypt, Bulgaria and other countries outside of the EU have become highly sought after. But when it comes to family holidays, despite the strength of the Euro, Eu holiday spots still reign supreme.

Many families travelling with smaller children prefer to keep their flying time to a minimum, meaning that holidays to Majorca, Ibiza, Menorca, the Spanish Mainland, Portugal and France are a popular choice in the summer months.

"The Balearics are a huge hit with families," says Emily from Hays Travel, "especially Majorca. It's one of our top destinations this summer."

With two hour flights available from most UK departure airports and a coastline laced with sandy beaches, it's easy to see what makes the biggest Balearic island so desirable. But the strong Euro means that the amount of money customers spend on holiday in Majorca and other EU destinations can be very high. Hays Travel recommend combating this by booking an all inclusive holiday.
"If you really want to holiday in the Euro zone and you're on a budget, stick to all inclusive," says Emily, "You can completely relax knowing that all your food and drink is paid for and not have to panic about sky high restaurant bills."
This is especially the case when you're travelling with children. Many all inclusive hotels include ice creams in their packages, as well as soft drinks - so you don't even need to take your wallet from your sun lounger to the pool bar. With all meals, snacks and some entertainment and activities thrown in, all you need worry about are souvenirs and excursions.
"The initial cost of an all inclusive holiday is usually more than that of a self catering or bed and breakfast option," says Emily, "But it almost always works out better value in the long run."

Hays Travel have a huge choice of all inclusive hotels available in Majorca, ranging from two to five star rated. Whether you're looking to stay near the pine backed sands of Alcudia, on the outskirts of island capital Palma, or near a rugged cove in pretty Cala D'or, there's bound to be a hotel to suit you and your family. Pay one price up front for all inclusive and rest assured that your food and drink bills are settled - before you even leave the UK. Hays Travel also include checked-in baggage in their flight prices (unless stated otherwise) and offer transfers as standard on their 'build your own' holidays - which often cost much less than package holidays.

"For the best value from your all inclusive holiday, build it yourself," says Emily, "Not only does this save you money, it gives you the freedom and flexibility to choose the perfect flight, duration and accommodation to suit you and your family."
