Do You Need Constipation Relief Now?

Constipation is a condition that millions of people encounter at sometime in their life. It is a condition that creates a lot of anxiety and worry, and if it persists too long it can becomes chronic constipation. The cause of constipation and relieving constipation is a subject of much controversy. What often makes it difficult to get rid of constipation is that it comes from both physical and mental unbalances.

Going to a doctor may get you cure for a moment. But, constipation will come back, since you have not dealt with the cause. Drugs suppress the cause of constipation and cause other symptoms to take its place. When under a doctor’s care, tell him you want to minimize the use of drugs and ask if him if he has other suggestions other than using drugs.

Use the following natural remedy list first before you accept your doctor’s drugs or before you go to the drugstore to find that tempting constipation relief product.

The first thing to start with is your diet. Start adding more fiber to your eating pattern. Most people only have around 10 gm of fiber daily. But you need to get your fiber intake to at least 25 gm per day. Add more fiber to your diet a little at a time.

In the morning, your breakfast should be only fruit juices and fruits. Eating heavy food as breakfast will block your natural morning detoxification, which is necessary to prevent and cure constipation. Fruits have the fiber, which stimulates the colon to have a bowel movement.

If you don't eat vegetables with your protein, you’re going to have constipation. You will not be able to get rid of chronic constipation. Your protein is going to stay a long time in your colon, since it doesn’t have vegetables to trigger bowel wall peristaltic movement. The longer protein stays in the colon the more susceptible you are to colon cancer and other colon diseases.

Add more water to your diet. If you don’t drink enough water, your stool will become hard in the colon and will be difficult to move. Don’t over do it with drinking water, you only need to drink around 4 glasses a day. Someone has recommended drinking 8 glasses per day. This is an excess of water and will mostly likely cause your stools to be to soft and can cause excess bowel movements.

Reduce eating of fibreless foods. These foods will cause constipation or keep you constipated. Any flour foods such as bread, cakes, cookies, or foods in package cause constipation, unless the food is made of whole wheat.

And, you also need to be concerned with bad bacteria in your colon. You always have bad bacteria there, but if it overwhelms the good bacteria, then it will affect your normal colon function, causing constipation. Eat less protein at your meals, since undigested protein feeds the bad bacteria.

Bad bacteria multiples as it consumes undigested protein. As it increases in numbers, it becomes dominate in the colon creating excess toxins which lead to colon malfunction. These toxins weaken the colon walls, change the pH environment, and get sucked into your body and blood, causing unhealthy conditions.

Use the ideas presented here to prevent chronic constipation. And, if you already have constipation, then use these ideas for relieving constipation. The main natural remedy for getting rid of constipation is to get plenty of fiber during your meals and to drink enough water to keep your stools soft. This is accomplished by eating fruits, vegetables, and water at the right time.
