Generally speaking, a given marketing strategy needs either time or money to be successful, and needing less of one usually means needing more of the other.
How Can You FindFree MLM Leads?
Article Marketing
You can write, right? One free method that can serve as a lasting source of leads is article marketing. These are three of the key points to consider when tackling this method.
1. What keywords do you think you're going to write about?
2. Where are you posting this article?
3. How do you plan to distribute copies of your article all over the web?
Ultimately, to get the most out of article marketing, you can't just throw an article up somewhere and hope that people read it. Planning ahead by answering the questions above helps ensure that you are getting the most out of the time you invest in this tactic!
Video Marketing
If you know what you're doing, video marketing can produce a tremendous amount of prospects - but if you don't take the time to research the strategy before you start, you'll miss out on a lot of those leads. There's more to video marketing than throwing a few videos of yourself up on YouTube and hoping people find them - but thats exactly how quite a few marketers approach this strategy. If that is what you're doing, or planning to do, you're leaving a lot of money behind!
Forum Marketing
Forums can be a great place to meet people, particularly one of your hottest target markets: other network marketers. Now, that doesn't mean you should join a forum and start trying to pitch your business. Quite the opposite in fact. Join a forum and start selling, selling, selling and other people will not just tune you out, but they never have a high opinion of or trust you.
Before doing forum marketing, make sure you have these rules firmly in mind:
1. Don't pitch your opportunity.
2. Take a moment to fill out whatever information you can in your profile. It helps people see you as an actual person, and as such have faith in you more.
3. Make sure you upload a photograph of yourself - let people identify with you and put a face to your name.
4. Do join the conversation and contribute value.
5. Leave all your links on your signature.
6. Use the links in your signature to send people to personally branded websites (blogs or capture pages). They're clicking the link because they are interested in YOU as a person, so be sure you deliver on that.
7. Be consistent and be patient.
8. Make it a point to join highly trafficked forums.
Social Media Marketing
Social media is HUGE. Sites like Twitter and Facebook (and several others) can offer substantial prospects for your business, if you do it the appropriate way. No surprise here: Don't pitch your opportunity!
Think of it this way. If you met someone for the first time in person, would you say "Hey, do you want to join my business opportunity?" Obviously not. (I hope not, anyway ;))
So, why do people do this on social media sites? Meet people, build relationships with them and again, provide value. Building these relationships fosters trust and respect with the people you meet online. As those relationships mature, your friends will seek you out for further information on what you do and how you do it - since they've already benefited from the value you've given them, they will naturally want more. Just don't send them to a generic company page here. These folks have an interest in YOU, and that's what they want more of!
From here you should be able to build a solid foundation for your marketing going forward! Along the way, you'll want to keep these two things in mind:
1. Patience and consistent effort are the keys to success with these approaches.
2. Attempting to master multiple marketing tactics at the same time can be stressful and exhausting, so get good at one method at a time, implementing the others gradually as you develop each skill.
If you try to tackle them all at once, it will be overwhelming. Things will go much more smoothly if you tackle one strategy at a time and gradually expand your marketing arsenal.
