There is no doubt that for male self-esteem and sexual well-being the issue of penis size is of paramount importance. Owners of impressive manhood enjoy increased self-confidence and much improved social and sexual life in comparison with less lucky guys who were endowed by Mother Nature with just averagely sized or even small penises. No wonder that even out of pure curiosity a lot of males contemplate a natural question of the largest penis in the world!
The problem with verification of the measurements and obtaining objective data is connected with certain difficulties: in the first place, polling is prone to inflated measurements. Secondly, today there are several methods to enhance the penis size considerably, so in many cases it is not possible to tell an artificially augment penis from a true natural measurement. Though there have been some attempts to study the issue and establish a true to life fact of the largest penis existence, but, as we mentioned above, the reliable verifying is often impossible

At the same time there have been several professional studies performed to establish statistically the average penis size among males. The general conclusion was as follows: in the majority of cases the average penis size of Caucasian males is something around 6.2 inches in length and approximately 3.2 inches in the circumference. The first researches were conducted as early as 1795 and since that time the results have invariably shown superiority of black males over the white males, both in length and girth of their male instruments.
Some controversial results were obtained by the studies conducted by the famous Kinsey Institute. In the final report the serious advantage of black people was not confirmed however, and the study demonstrate just a minimal advantage for blacks. The average penis size for black males generally was estimated as 6.3 inches in length and 3.7 in circumferences. So, it means that the advantage over white people was marginal. But it should be noted that sampling done by the Kinsey report drops a shade of doubt on the credibility of the research, since the researchers polled about 50 black males as opposed to about 2,500 white males. A more representative polling should be conducted in order to obtain more credible evidence.
On the contrary to the existence of some reliable and accurate statistical data regarding the estimates of average penis size, the issue of the largest penis size appears to be not so easy to uncover. On the one hand, the reports and records of extremely large penises are available in plenty, but, unfortunately, the credibility of this evidence is very low, the reports lack such important details like the actual names of the men and so on.
Dr. David Reuben in 1969 claimed to conduct the largest penis measurement, but the measurement was taken unofficially and independent verification was absent. Allegedly, Dr. Reuben came across a male subject with a penis that measured 14 inches long in erect state. This sounds amazing, but still the information was not confirmed by an independent witness. The only dependable official medical record, of the exceptionally sizable penis was made and documented by Dr. Robert Dickinson in the earlier part of the twentieth century. His subject was a man with 13.5 inch long penis, at the same time the circumference was 6.25 inch. Since that time different statistical sources have claimed measurements of penises from 10 to 12 inches in length.
Since nowadays several efficient methods of penis size enhancement are available for those concerned, it is virtually impossible to judge the validity of the claims for the crown of the largest natural penis in the world. That is why the record of 13.5 inches documented by Dr. Dickinson in early 1900's – long before invention of modern methods of penis enlargement - is still considered the most credible and authentic measurement for the world's largest penis.
