How to Save if You Are a Printing Press Worker

If you are working for a local commercial printer, then most probably you are receiving a salary that is based on the minimum wage approved by the government. And since local printing companies often have rush jobs brought about by clients who are always in a hurry but do not submit their materials ahead of time, then you are probably spending a lot of extra time at work. With that you are paid for your overtime services based on your daily rate.

Additionally, the commercial printing company subsidizes your meals and fares when you stay up late in the office. Plus, you get your 13th-month salary.

So are you one of those who keep on complaining that you always do not have extra money and that you are always in debt? Do you want to change this and still be able to maximize your income and even have savings in the bank? Then here are a few tips that can help you. These steps will drastically alter your lifestyle but if you really want to get out of debt then you will have to do something about your finances.

1. First thing, write down your regular income. This should be your take-home pay after your deductions for taxes and social security.

2. Write down your regular expenses. Which ones are your needs and wants? Which ones can you cut down? For example, if you practice listing down your expenses, you will realize that there are some things that you can do without or things that you can buy in bulk so that you will save money. Like you may notice that you drinking carbonated drinks twice a day, once during lunchtime and another one in the afternoon. You may reduce this to once a day or once every two days. That would be great savings for you. And come to think of it, it would be a good habit to break because it is not good for your health. If you get sick, then that would also be waste of money. If you have coffee every day at the cafeteria, you would realize that you are paying the retail price. But if you buy a pack of coffee at the grocery store and just use the hot water in the office, you will really save a lot in one month. Just the simple principle of not spending beyond your income will already drastically change your finances.

3. Read financial management books. Or if they are too expensive, just go online. You can read a lot of free articles on how people effectively manage what little they have and in the end have some little extra.

4. After all the adjustments and you realize that you just have enough for your subsistence and not have a lot of extra to pay off your debts; consider doing part-time jobs or doing some small enterprise where you can earn some extra money. Since you can already live off your main source of income, you can you use your earnings from your part-time endeavors to pay off your loans gradually.

While it may be true that if you are a laborer in a local commercial printer, your salary is small, it is also true that you can still save from it as long as you assess your lifestyle and spend only on things that you can afford. Local commercial printing companies are continually having bulk jobs done so whenever you spend some extra time at work, save this extra pay-whatever it is worth.
