Anaheim is one of the most popular tourist destinations of United States.It is famous as home for Disneyland, which was the first theme park based on Disney known to entire world.This park is known as 'The Happiest Place on Earth' but there is much to offer than the park for entire family.There is a range of exciting and fun loving entertainment around the city.
This fun loving and exciting city of Anaheim is located just 30 miles to the south of downtown area of Los Angeles and not more than 90 miles from north of San Diego.The significant location of the city makes it one of the excellent places for making it a base for Southern California.

This marvelous city was founded in the year 1857 by the wine makers that belong to Franconia in Bavaria.Daniel Kraemer was the first who settled in the area.The Germans purchased the colonies of the area of 1,165 acres around the coastal area.
Up to the year 1880, it remained the major wine producing area and in the same year irrigation was introduced to it.The wineries of the area were capable to produce around 1.25 gallons of wine per year. With the development of the rail and road ways, the city started growing with remarkable pace.The city underwent a rapid industrial growth during the beginning of 1920.
Agriculture was the major source of earning for most of the families until the Walt Disney chose Anaheim as the home for the world famous Disneyland amusement park.
This city is full packed with a range of attractions but the Disneyland amusement park will always remain the eye candy for the tourist of all over the world.This park is full of thrilling and exciting rides, festivals, processions, stalls, eateries and resort hotels which would never let you feel bore or short of excitement even for a minute.This is further subdivided into three themed areas known as the Golden State, Paradise Pier and the Hollywood Pictures Backlot.
Children of all ages will find there area that will amuse them.The mini adventureland is meant to provide entertainment to entire family.A seasonal park known as the 'Knott's Soak City' exhibits water rides and a huge wave pool.
Besides Disneyland, Anaheim also offers some of the oldest building of the city along with some of the oldest post rancho-era structures that exhibits several artifacts and important information.
Anaheim offers a range of luxury, mid-budget and budget hotels for the people coming from all round the world.The entire city exhibit a great variation in cheap hotels but they are a bit away from the Disneyland which gives a break from continuous excitement of Disneyland and you may be able to enjoy some other area around the city.
