One thing that it is important to remember about these methods is that they can be a bit more time consuming than some of the alternatives that come with higher price tags. Generally speaking, a given marketing strategy needs either time or money to be successful, and needing less of one usually means needing more of the other.
How Can You FindFree MLM Leads?
Article Marketing
You can write, right? Article marketing can be a very successful, long-term, free marketing strategy for your network marketing or MLM business. Here are three imperative things to think about when considering article marketing as a marketing technique for your business.
1. What keywords will your article be concentrating on (what is your article going to be about)?
2. Where are you going to host your content?
3. How will you go about extending the reach of the article?
Effective article marketing takes more than just putting up an article on a random subject and hoping for the best. Make sure you have answers to the questions above so you are getting the most out of the time you expend writing.
Video Marketing
This can be SUCH a powerful and efficient way to market, but again, only if you know what you are doing. Alas, so many marketers think of video marketing as establishing a YouTube channel and talking about their business - if that's how you approach this strategy you'll be missing out, big time!
Forum Marketing
Forums can be a great spot to meet people, especially one of your hottest target markets: other network marketers. That being said, the absolute last thing you want to do on a forum is start pitching your online business - no one wants to hear it and it won't get you anywhere fast.
If you are going to employ this marketing strategy, it is necessary that you keep two or three things in mind:
1. Don't pitch your opportunity.
2. Do fill out your profile if applicable.
3. Do add an avatar if allowed.
4. Don't just read: contribute!.
5. Never put affiliate or capture page links in your posts - these belong in your signature ONLY.
6. Point your links in your signature to a blog or personally branded capture page. No generic business websites here. If someone took the time to click on your link, they have an interest in you, not your company's generic website.
7. Don't expect overnight results, you have to be consistent and patient with this strategy. That means posting on the same forum(s) regularly, not just a handful of posts out of the blue and then nothing for days and weeks at a time.
8. Join forums that are active and get a good amount of traffic.
Social Media Marketing
Social media is HUGE. Sites like Twitter and Facebook (and many others) can offer substantial prospects for your online business, if you go about it the right way. Just like forums, don't make it a habit of pitching everyone you meet on your business. Create relationships!
Think of it this way. If you met someone for the first time in person, would you say "Hey, do you want to join my business opportunity?" Naturally not. (I hope not, anyway ;))
This type of behavior doesn't work in face to face conversations, and it doesn't work in social media either. You've got to establish a relationship with people online by providing them with something valuable. Building these relationships fosters trust and respect with the people you meet online. As those relationships mature, your friends will seek you out for more information on what you do and how you do it - since they've already benefited from the value you've given them, they will naturally want more. Just don't send them to a generic company page here. These folks have an interest in YOU, and that's what they want more of!
These three tactics should be enough to get you started! Just remember these important points:
1. Patience and consistent effort are the keys to success with these tactics.
2. Attempting to master multiple marketing techniques at the same time can be stressful and exhausting, so get good at one method at a time, implementing the others gradually as you develop each skill.
Trying to become a master at all of these different techniques would be enough to burn anyone out. Things will go much more smoothly if you tackle one tactic at a time and gradually expand your marketing arsenal.
