Inexpensive Gifts That Can Show Your Appreciation

We were created as social beings that no matter how we live like hermits at times, we get to the point that we just need some social interaction, even at least occasionally. Now, since we are surrounded with people who may be related to us or who we are just acquainted with, it is not surprising that we will sometimes be the recipient of a kind act, a kind word, or a kind gift.

Social etiquette tells us that we should give gifts of appreciation for whatever kindness that we received. But sometimes when we are short on the budget, all we can afford are cheap gifts. We can actually go to a commercial printer for this matter and find that they actually have so many cheap gift ideas. Or you may find some cheap items on your own and have them printed with personalized with commercial printing processes for a unique look.

Here are some cheap gift suggestions:

1. Personalized shirts. For young people, they would really appreciate gifts of personalized shirts because these are unique. You can do the printing yourself with some fabric paints or you can get them printed with those new T-shirt heat presses. In most cases there are no minimum orders and the prices just vary based on the size of the shirt and the printable area. If you are going to have back to back printing, there will be an extra charge for the additional side. But you will surely know if your gift was also appreciated because the recipient will really wear it. Just make sure that you get the right size for whoever it is intended. Do not give free sized T-shirts. That would be rude.

2. Personalized Notepads. Another good gift idea that you could give out are notepads with your name or emblem on it. It should be designed as such that your recipient would like to use them because it looks like a gift from you and not like they are writing on "your" stationery. Maybe you could put your or your family's photo as a watermark as background of the notepad then you could maybe write a personalized one-line quote at the bottom that could be attributed to you, such as, "You are one of my greatest treasures.-Cindy Jones" Or something like that. Your friend would be really happy to get a set of notepads and to use them, too. You can have several of these made so that you have some supply so that whenever you need to give a nice gift to someone, you can give these out.

3. Personalized Pens. You can buy some of those metal covered pens in silver or gold color and have them engraved or printed with the name of your recipient as well as the words, "Thank you" written on them by a commercial printer. You do not necessarily have to buy those branded pens that are really expensive (after all what you are trying to achieve here is to give out cheap thank you gifts), but you can find those inexpensive pens that also come in nice gift boxes. They look good and they write well, too, but they cost only a fraction of what those branded pens cost. As for your girlfriends, you may buy them each a set of scented and colorful gel pens. Just have a nice note printed or hand written and insert it in the pens' case for them to see. No need to go to a commercial printing shop for that purpose.
