You need flyers in order to announce your promo or if there is something new with your business. But you think that commercial printing can be expensive. However, you may want to know that here are many ways that you can circumvent the situation and actually save on the cost of producing your marketing materials.
Here are some tips that you can take into considering in order to maximize your budget for a commercial printing and still get the results that you want, which are either for promotions or for sales/profit.

a. Small Size. Some companies use entire bond paper size or half of it for their flyers. But if you have a smaller size flyer, like 1/3 or ¼ of the page, then you will make more out of a whole ream of paper. One ream has 500 sheets. If you use the whole page for a single flyer layout that means you can only have 500 copies of flyers. If you cut it in half, the number doubles. You can do the rest of the Math if you choose to have smaller sizes.
b. Cheap Paper. A commercial printer has different purposes in mind when it comes to distributing flyers. Sometimes, you do not really need nice quality paper. You can use thinner paper or newsprint because these are cheaper than regular bond or book paper. After all, most flyers are just thrown away so having them on nice quality paper could just be a waste.
c. Cheap Printing. You do not really have to choose offset printing for your flyers. The cheapest that you can go is to have them risographed or mimeographed, whichever is available because they cost pretty much the same. Of course the result will be one color printing, but that is fine if you are just simple announcing a one-day sale, a seasonal bazaar, or just some other event.
d. Compromise Printing. If you do like to have colored flyers, you can opt to have only the front page in color while the back page can be in one-color printing. You will really save a lot of money on this as compared to having the back portion in full color.
e. Order in Bulk. When you order many number of copies, the cost per copy becomes cheaper. For example, a copy of flyer can cost a dollar each if you order only one ream. But it can go down to one cent apiece if you order 10 reams. In some cases, you may want to have the same institutional announcement on the front and it is in full color. Order many copies of these, like 20 reams, and then just store them until you will need them. Then you can just have stapled attachments to them whenever you have a promo or a new product. That way, you can bring the costs down.
f. Get Quotes from different commercial printers. Compare prices of printing from different suppliers. Before ordering, collect quotations from different suppliers, as there may be price variations. If it is your first-time to order from a printer, look at their work samples to ensure that they will not sacrifice quality just because they have cheap prices.
Flyers can greatly help promote your business or event. Seek the cheapest flyer printing services in town so that you can still continue with your promotions and not have to fork out a lot for printing.
