After all, it is much cheaper to promote to existing customers than to get new ones. If you aim to boost your sales, you need to focus more effort in your existing customers. Here are simple ways to help you gain the loyalty of your customers:
1 – Give your customers after sales services. This means that you still assist your customers even after the sale is done. You can give them advice on the use of the product, maintenance tips, and support service. Doing this will make people familiar to you and trust you more. 2 – Show your customers that you appreciate them. It is important that you show people that you value and appreciate them. Send them thank you cards after a successful sale. Even a simple card will surely be appreciated and make them feel connected to you. A lot of businesses don't do this anymore. Set your business apart by sending thank you cards when necessary.
3 – Keep your contact with your customers. To do this, you need to first get the contact details of your customers. This includes their name, address, telephone number, and email. If you have these details, it would be easy for you to call them and tell them your latest offerings. If you have your customers' birthdays, consider also greeting them on their special day. Send also cards on special occasions and holidays.
With good contact with your customers, you can make them feel that you care about them. You can even give them special offers or discounts to make them especially important to you.
4 – Provide incentives. This is another effective way of getting loyalty. Provide incentives to customers so they will be encouraged to purchase again. It doesn't have to be a big incentive. For instance, you can let them earn points on their every purchase and the accumulated points can be exchanged for products or services. You can print the incentives at the back of your business cards or thank you card printing. This will surely encourage people to hold on to your materials to avail of the incentive.
5 – Offer membership or VIP cards to major customers. This is one way to encourage people to stay loyal to your business. These membership and VIP cards come with perks that are exclusive only to members. If you can make your offerings more exciting, it would be easier for people to avail of your membership.
Loyalty is not something you earn over night. You need to work hard in earning it and once you have it, never let it go. Do everything possible to keep it so your business succeeds and grows without too much hassle and expenses.
