There are few things worse than suffering from constant indigestion. It seems that you have to pay for everything you eat with stomach burns, heartburn, upset stomach, and belching. This is a terrible thing to have to deal with on a regular basis or after every meal that you eat. One of the greatest joys in life is being able to enjoy food and all of the ways that it can be prepared. When you suffer from constant indigestion, this becomes nearly impossible to do because you have to worry about what you will experience after a meal.

There are several things that could be causing you to have constant problems with indigestion. One of the main factors is the food that you are eating. Often times, people do not realize how unhealthy their food is and how terrible it is making them feel, until they eliminate it from their daily diet. Key ingredients to avoid if you are trying to avoid indigestion are unhealthy oils and fats, high sodium foods, and even acidic foods. Some fruits and vegetables have a high acid content. While most people do not associate these foods with causing any kind of health problem, it is very possible for some fruits and vegetables to cause indigestion. Keeping a food diary is a good way to pinpoint the foods that cause the most symptoms of indigestion.

Another thing that causes indigestion is lack of exercise. If you eat a large meal and then stay sedentary afterwards, there is a good chance that the natural digestion will not happen as fast as it should. To avoid this problem you should never eat at bedtime and always try to move around after a meal.

While there are medicinal remedies for constant indigestion, it is always better if you can take care of the problem in a more natural way. Natural remedies can get rid of the problem and prescription medications often just alleviate the symptoms. By getting a healthy amount of exercise and paying closer attention to the food that you put in your mouth, you may be able to get rid of the problem all together.
