Many people do not really think about "how" they design their layouts for newsletter printing. That is why in a lot of cases, I have seen people and even professional businesses produce very amateurish type newsletters that have not been done "smartly". If you do not want that to happen to your own newsletter printing, then here is the guide for you.

I am going to go over here how to design custom newsletters in a smart manner. If you can integrate these habits in your newsletter printing you should see a stark improvement in your newsletter design.

1. Get the proper newsletter template – Smart newsletters are done with proper newsletter templates. Templates were made of course for a reason. They make the job of creating newsletters easier, and they standardize newsletter printing so that many different people can print newsletters in a coordinated fashion. So step one in being smart in newsletter printing will of course involve you getting the proper newsletter printing template.

2. Get layout resources first before doing the actual layout – Another smart tip when creating newsletters would be for you to get layout resources first before starting with the actual designs. Initial raw material acquisition such as the gathering of articles and images helps with the organization and speed of the design process. With all the materials able and ready for formatting, it should be easy to mix and match all the different content elements together. This saves a lot of time and of course makes designers more focused at the goal of creating great color newsletters.

3. Review all text your content first before insertion – Before you actually insert those articles in your color newsletters though, you might want to review all the content. One of the worst things that can happen as you design your color newsletters would be for you to deal with lots of spelling errors and grammar errors along with the problem of the design. It is distracting and of course it may lead you to more difficult problems with the content. This will hardly give you a smart and smooth ride in newsletter printing of course. SO it is best to review all your content first and proofread them before you actually insert them into the newsletter draft.

4. Enhance all image content first before insertion – Besides the text content, you might also want to enhance the image content of your newsletters before you insert them into the layout. By doing this, you eliminate the hard part in using your images for newsletters. This again will allow you to concentrate more on the layout of the newsletter and not the specifics of the newsletter images. So try to do all those enhancements first before insertion.

5. Always get feedback before mass production – Finally, if you want to be smart in mass producing your custom newsletters, you should always get feedback before you actually go ahead with newsletter printing. Besides having an editor of sorts that really combs through the details of your newsletters, have real sample audiences read your newsletter sample to get the raw audience reactions from them. Having those reactions should help you improve anything that needs to be improved before you commit the resources for mass production. So get your friends and family into the act and get that feedback about your color newsletters.

Now you know how to design your color newsletters smartly. Just remember to review all the tips and steps above, and your newsletters should be designed purposefully to perform well to its readers. Good Luck!
