Creativity is the power to create something out of a seemingly ordinary thing. It's more about an unplanned connection of things. Ask a creative person how he came up with a design or idea, he'll tell you it simply popped up; he simply saw or thought of something.
Creativity is something that should be abundant in the business industry. With lots of businesses popping up each year making competition stiffer, the more important it is to be creative in order to attract attention. Employing creativity is the easiest way of attracting prospects.

A good place to employ your creativity is in the business cards. A creative business card lets your prospects get interested in your offerings. As you are able to deliver your message in the most engaging and artistic manner, it makes it easier for you to build a strong bond with your target customers. There are actually lots of ways to be creative in your business cards. For one, you can always go for creatively shaped cards. As much as possible, it is important that you choose a shape that best represents your business. For instance, if you have a musical store, you can consider cutting the shape of your cards into musical instruments. Or shape your cards into plates if you have a restaurant business.
Aside from the shape, there are other ways to be creative in your business cards. Here are some of them:
1. Consider putting an irresistible questionnaire in your business card. Entice your customers to answer the questionnaire with a gift if ever they answered it right. This will encourage them to visit your store and purchase your products or avail of your services. This is a creative way to gather new customers.
2. Print an appointment schedule at the back of the card. Consider printing a daily log on your card to remind your prospects of the best time to call you or visit you personally in your store. This is a good way to ensure people save your card.
3. Consider using an edible business card. You can print your contact details in a chocolate or cracker. Just be sure to still include a printed contact detail to ensure there is something left with your prospects after they have consumed your chocolate card.
4. Be environment friendly. Use a paper material that when planted in soil and watered, a plant will grow from it. Of course, you still have to ensure that a certain part of the card with your contact details stays with your customers.
5. Scented business card. Even the sense of smell can be a great way to be creative in your cards. There are special scented papers today that you can use as business cards. A good smelling card will surely encourage people to take notice of your card and even keep it.
6. Punch a hole in your business card. This is to allow you to put a small chain or ribbon in your business card templates to add a classy feel to it.
Remember that creativity is a necessity to success. A creative business card will let you show your target customers that you have high value to the principle of success and the demand of people for artistry. You don't really need to push yourself to the limit in order to create artistic business cards. Just let your imagination and creative juices flow and you are good to go.
