Rack cards are one of those classic types of promotions that still exist and are still invested heavily on these days. However, as the changing times attest, more and more people now are thinking of switching to online digital promotions as their key promotional tool. So you might be asking the question if you still need to print rack cards for your promotional campaigns.
The answer to that question is YES. You still need to print rack cards even if you are already going for an online promotional campaign. Why, you ask? Well, while online advertising and promotions are powerful and impressive, there are still a few things that rack cards are better at. Let me list them down for you.

1. Rack cards are better with older demographics – Simply put, rack cards still provide more impact and are better at older market demographics than those digital promotional mediums. While many older people are adapting well to new technological advances, they are still more comfortable and often respond better with traditional print promotions such as full color rack cards. So if your market is a lot older, or you need to cover all demographics for promotions, printing rack cards is crucial to finish the job.
2. Rack cards are better with lower-tech demographics – Also, rack cards are better with those people that are not as exposed to technological promotions as many others are. People in rural areas or depressed communities often do not have the resources or infrastructure to support digital promotional strategies. In those markets and demographics, custom rack cards with their easy to read messages are the key items that can promote effectively and communicate important messages properly. So if your target markets have lower tech demographic data, then you might want to print rack cards to be sure to reach them.
3. Rack cards still reach people when they are "offline" – Another big reason why you should invest in rack card printing is because people still go offline, No one is connected to the internet every time (at least not with today's technology), so when people do go offline, there are still opportunities for your color rack cards to do their thing and advertise or promote. This helps round up a robust strategy of marketing exposure since once offline, your target readers can still be exposed to your marketing messages through your color newsletters.
4. Rack cards can be kept and still remain "working" even without electricity – Rack cards are also worth printing because they can be kept and still remain active even without electricity. Anyone can read and then keep the color rack card and then use it again as reference later. This is a very powerful advantage since your marketing messages can be exposed to those target audiences for a far longer time.
This means that those custom rack cards can convince readers a lot more better to respond to your rack cards whenever possible, increasing the success rate of the print. So if you need a more long term promotional plan, printing rack cards is one of the best things that you can do.
5. Rack cards can be deployed in alternative locations for better promotional coverage – Finally, you should print rack cards because they can be deployed at the key locations that your digital campaign cannot cover. Some areas like transportation stops, sporting arenas and other high traffic locations are easy places where one can deploy racks and of course full color rack cards. Digital promotions cannot reach these locations, but rack cards should garner a large amount of great responses easily. You won't want to miss this opportunity for marketing of course that is why it is still useful to print rack cards today.
So it is obvious now that rack card printing still is useful in some respects to marketing, even if you or everybody else is using online marketing campaigns. There are still instances wherein a full color rack card will perform better than an online campaign.
