If you're not attending a school that has been accredited, you cannot qualify for financial aid from the Department of Education, and the courses you take probably won't be transferable to other schools if you decide to enter a different program or continue your education later on. Future employers may also question the authenticity of your training if you attended a school that wasn't accredited.
Besides phlebotomy school accreditation, there are a few other things you need to be aware of when considering where to get your education. Look into the passing rates of graduates-if many of their former students did not pass the certification exams, it's a bad sign. Also look into their career placement services, faculty and other resources. It's your education, so make sure it's a good one.
