Environmentalists believe that the world is no longer safe to live in or rather not as safe as it used to be few decades ago. Just recently, the Philippines' leading television network company spearheaded a marathon participated by a vast member of the local entertainment industry to raise funds for the clean-up drive of Pasig River, a river that runs and stretches through a number of cities. A number of articles and documentaries have been widely available for the mass to ponder on with regards to the effect of climate change, specifically global warming and the trail of effects it has brought our world such as tsunami, forest fires, earthquakes and floods, global hunger, to mention a few.
Hurricane Katrina dubbed as the costliest and most disastrous of all hurricanes ever to attack the southern part of the United States, claimed hundreds of lives and thousands homeless on August 2005. New Orleans people were left without food, without source of potable water, cut from there rest of the world and nothing under their roof for days. Houses were submerged underwater with cars and household equipment floating in flood waters for weeks.

The Indian Ocean Tsunami in December 2004, which killed over 200,000 people including tourists from around the world, came suddenly without warning. Warnings, if there were any warnings at all, were disregarded because the event of a tsunami occurring at that time was insignificant thus authorities did not issue tsunami alerts. Having no tsunami alert, tourists went on with their holidays, villagers performed their usual daily activities and hotel staff continued to serve tourists and guests needs.
Thousands died and billions of properties lost, with dead bodies scattered all over the place, some bodies identified while some totally mangled bodies were not and some more buried deep in the seas, were not even found by their love ones because everyone was not prepared.
Disasters happen when we least expect it and where we least expect it. Whether you are just doing your usual routine either going to work, doing the marketing plying your usual route, or having your vacation in the Bahamas or just sleeping on your bed, you do not know what will happen to you in the next few minutes. So many things can happen without warning with just a single second.
Whether you are in Africa, America, Asia or whatever continent in this world, insuring your life, your car, your home and even your life takes precedence above all. You do not want to be embroiled in financial struggle as much as you do not want to cause trouble to your neighbors, arent you?
