If you’re looking for great summer fashion it is important to know the latest trends in tank tops, summer dresses, and skirts as you shop for new must haves for your summer closet. A few of our favorite trends are found in these great summer fashions as examples of ways to implement these styles or similar trends into your wardrobe.
First, maxi dresses are a summer must have. These dresses look great on tall, slender body types and are great casual ways to mix up your summer dress wardrobe. Surely you’ve seen the common maxi dress look with thin tank strap at the top and an empire or high waist line. Consider the distinctive Rhetta dress that is a great example of a non-traditional maxi dress that really can be dressed up for special occasions. The dress looks simple from the front, but with a plunging back this dress really does take the common maxi dress to another level. Another must have for summer fashion is the peasant skirt. A great casual skirt, the ruffled skirt is a big trend this summer and you will see these skirts ranging from extremely long to short in length. The Hilton skirt as an example is a great middle of the road length with the casual, yet feminine look of the peasant skirt style. We love the waistband that gives you added flexibility with the length allowing you to fold it over for a shorter look or wear it unfolded as a way to increase the length of the skirt.
You would almost have to be hidden under a rock to miss out on the general fashion trend with ruffles and in summer fashions it is fairly easy to find great tanks, tops or dresses with ruffled accents. We love the Mae Ruffle tank top featuring a simple ruffle around the neckline. The ruffle is a simple, yet very feminine way to really elevate this tank top. The neckline also features a tie at the base of the ruffle for added detail. This tank is available in a great coral color that is also a summer fashion must have this season.
These are really on the tip of the iceberg for summer fashion trends, but you can find examples of others featuring ribbon embellishments or even lace like the Lucca Racerback dress or the Collective Concepts V Neck Tie Waist Tunic or great patterns like the Rhonia dress . Hopefully in the few ideas we’ve mentioned, you at least have some new inspiration or a few new ideas for how you can weave some of these amazing summer fashion trends into your wardrobe. Of course be sure to remain true to your own personal style, but don’t let yourself stay boxed into only using the same styles and colors you always do. Some new styles won’t work for you, but we suggest that you always try and stretch your style with at least one trend that is out of your norm so that you can keep your closet fresh and always be working toward expanding your style with great statement pieces.
