We’ll list the OD-LX Vandal Resistant Dome cameras under three subtitles, one for each camera, by using SCK’s product number to identify them. The three cameras are the 420 TVL Indoor/Outdoor Vandal Resistant Dome Camera (Product# OD-LX420IR50), the 520 TVL Indoor/Outdoor Vandal Resistant Dom Camera (Product# OD-LX520IR50) and the 550 TVL 4-9MM Varifocal Indoor/Outdoor Vandal Resistant Camera (Product# OD-LX550IR100L49).

Product# OD-LX420IR50

This OD-LX Vandal Resistant Dome Camera is the standard camera that SCK uses in all of its complete packaged digital video security systems except those that come with the Ultimate Digital Video Recorder or DVR. The camera is rugged and durable and has no exposed screw heads that could be accessed by potential vandals to remove it. It keeping with being vandal resistant, the camera is rugged and durable and can be re-aimed without the need to access screws or take the camera apart.

The camera can be used indoors or outdoors and has an IP rating (Ingress Protection rating) of IP66 for all weather use. It uses a 1/4″ SHARP CCD censor for images capture at can produce a video image with horizontal line resolution of 420 Television Lines or TVL.

The camera can produce either NTSC (National Television System Committee often referred to as “North American”) or PAL (Phase Alternating Line often referred to as “European”) standard video images. This means it can be used just about anywhere as it has both PAL and NTSC capabilities.

The infrared must be illuminated by other near-spectrum infrared radiation. This is accomplished by using 23 individual Infrared Light Emitting Diodes (IR LEDs) clustered around the lens of the camera. Remember that this light is completely invisible to the human eye but is readily useful for the camera sensor. They provide a working night time or total darkness range of approximately 50 feet for the camera.

This ODLX Vandal Resistant Dome Camera automatically works in IR mode when the ambient light level stoops below 10 Lux. The “trigger” for this is an on-board CdS cell that initiates the IR mode upon reaching light levels below 10 Lux.

This camera has an electronic shutter time range in PAL of 1/50 to 1/100,0000 frames per second. The NTSC side of the camera boasts a range of 1/60 to 1/100,000 of a second. Rated operating temperature ranges are a recorded 14 to 122 degrees F. at 95% Relative Humidity (RH).

This ODLX Vandal Resistant Dome Camera requires a 12 Volt Direct Current (12VDC) power supply and uses 250 mA. It weighs a little less than one pound.
