Next, you need to highlight your Gmail account and click on "Properties." Click the "Advanced" tab and put a checkmark in both of the boxes that say "This server requires a secure connection." For the outgoing mail server, enter the numbers "465" in the first text box while in the second text box enter the numbers "993" for incoming mail.
After performing this task, click on the "Servers" tab and put a checkmark in the box that says "My Server Requires Authentication." Click "Apply" and select "OK." Your job is done. Now you can send a test email from yourself to yourself using Outlook Express and check if it is working properly or not.
