Online or computer games like Alice Greenfingers or Ranch Rush can lead you to imitate the things they do in the game in real life. Planting flowers, fruits, vegetables or trees may be of your interest and may seem very exciting as of the moment. Of course, when you plant, you need to water it, you allow the sun to shines its ray on your plant, and you dont allow any animal or insect to pest around your garden. One day, as you walk pass your garden; you see a tiny ray of hope for the seed you planted as it grows a few inches.

Days turned into weeks and boom! Your patient waiting for your plant to grow has finally come to an end, but if it is a tree then it is another story. While going to your friends or family to spill the good news, they congratulate you and they say 'wow, you really have a green thumb, Kudos to you!' How proud and happy you are on the inside.

You decide to do it again and again after the progress you have done in planting. But what if it was the other way around and your friends and family would say 'Oh dear, I guess you dont have the green thumb, it is okay, try another hobby that you might excel in.' You say to yourself 'What does having a green thumb have to do with this?' then you sigh.

Now what does really having a green thumb mean? How does this affect my planting? For decades, they say that there are people worldwide that exhibit the gift of having a green thumb, which is the ability to make plants thrive, nurturing them and making them a sight to see. It is but a rare gift and not all individuals are born with it. Some people would discover this gift and the passion for planting at an early age, some by accident, and some at the later years.

There always comes a time in our life that we do trial and error to know the hobbies that would cause us to enjoy but what matters most is that you get to enjoy the things that you do and if planting makes you happy, then plant. We will never know, maybe one of these days you will discover that gift - the green in you, and it might be one of the greatest days of your life.
