Excessive use of images can be harmful for the website because it can add load to the website resulting in the decrease of the downloading speed. Inclusion of image does not help in search engine optimization. There should be a blend of text and images in appropriate proportion.
You should be aware of some technical aspects such as the use of programming languages. There was a time when flash was being used a lot for web designing, but this is not the scenario any more. Some of the browsers and operating systems are not compatible with the website that the totally based on Flash.
