An invitation to fit the setting or the theme so as to give more meaning to the event is needed for garden weddings. This type of wedding can be emphasized better with the accessories related to flowers, leaves, and flower pots. You can do it the easy way by having it printed first in designing your garden wedding invitations. You can avail of the printing presses or you can do it personally through your computer and printer. If you choose to make a more personalized garden wedding invitations, here is one way how to make one. This is only a guide on the basics. Your own creativity will give your wedding invitation its distinct style just for your wedding.

Materials:

Pre-printed Invitation cards (gloss card, silk card or recycled card) - choose any of these card materials in your wedding theme color. These gloss cards have a shiny finish, silk cards have a silky finish while a recycled card is rough yet supports nature which your garden wedding has a connection.

Leaf pattern/cut-out of fall, with summer or spring colors

White glue and scissors

Gold and silver glitters, proportionately mixed

Some other glitters of different colors

Raffia, length will depend on your bow size

Instructions:

1. Cut a leaf pattern, a bit smaller than your palm, which has an interesting outline like the oak leaf. Outline lightly the edges with white glue first then sprinkle the glitters on it. Let dry.

2. Print verses related to nature, flowers and plants on the leaf if you desire.

3. Inside your invitation, artistically arrange and glue some pressed small flowers and leaves. Beautify these with sprinkles of glitters of the color matching your card.

4. Create a belt for the invitation using raffia. Tie the raffia and let some ends fall naturally.

5. Hang a small pouch containing flower seeds. Inside the pouch enclose a mini card with your personal message and signatures of you and your partner. The message could be about love compared to seeds or flowers. Seeds could be planted by the guests later and when it grows, the memories of your garden wedding will be something to talk about.

6. Seal the envelope with the leaf pattern.

This card is a good complement to your garden wedding. You're doing something for nature at the same time and the seeds you have shared will surely make your wedding invitation the flower of them all.
