The “love for money is the root of all evil.” is a saying that a lot of people misconstrue as “money is the root of all evil.” But what matters most is where ones heart is at, at the end of the day. Is the heart at the annals of moneymaking or is it where it should be, going through the necessary disciplines in life before finally arriving at the end where rewards tarry long enough for you to enjoy fullness.
Life is not at all about making money. One must realize that while most people think that money makes the world go round, it isnt quite the only answer to lifes needs. There are many instances in life when money doesnt fill in the emptiness that many people struggle against. Most of the worlds richest men and women should have not been pressing divorce cases and custody lawsuits against one another if money is the answer to lifes most pressing questions. Celebrities should be the happiest if money is the answer to all things. If money can buy peace and happiness, then the vastness of the homes of millionaires and billionaires should have been filled with conspicuous laughter of their children enjoying an almost heavenly ambience accorded by their billions or millions in the bank.

However, as the end of the day closes in, the reality still remains, that life is not bought by money, and that most of the essentials of life cannot be bought by money. Here are insights that may show you what most Americans value in life according to surveys.
1. Health is lifes greatest achievement, whether the richest or the poorest, it is ones prime goal. Man works to save money to save their health. According to a survey, Americans consider health their greatest wealth. Theres truth to the famous adage that says “Health is wealth,” after all.
2. Joy is absolute, happiness is relative. These are two different concepts that are often used interchangeably. Joy is actually a status of having peace amidst what goes on around. Happiness is an emotional status when good things happen. In other words, one may be happy when the good days are pouring in and may not be so when problems start to come in. Joy on the other hand, is an achievement of peace even when no good seems to be going on. It maintains equilibrium even with storms of life bombarding them from all corners.
3. Money is not the answer. Most of todays concerns in life are money-related. Money brings food on the table. Money pays the bills. Money makes the mortgage ends meet. Money accomplishes a long list of things. But talk to the cancer patient who is in pain all day long and ask him if his money took the pain away. Talk to the drug addict who used to have a privileged life but is now imprisoned in his own doing that cannot be undone. Talk to the suffering mother whose husband lives with another woman and built for her a mansion as expensive as hers.
These are few of the things that money cannot buy. The use of money is the factor that makes all the difference while its true that money moved the earth to heights it never saw coming. The right use of money feeds the hungry and gives shelter to the homeless. The wise use money sends impoverished children to school and open doors for them to live good lives. At the end of the day, is it worth saying, “use money and love people?” The answer is in your hands.
