What many companies do with their marketing is focus entirely on sales and various specials. If they don’t have a sale going than they don’t bother getting anything printed or done to promote themselves.

There are two primary reasons to get marketing done. The first has to do with a specific purpose, which is usually a sale, but not always. This can be a new product being released, a significant price change, maybe an alteration in the way things are run at the store. In any case, it’s going to be a set message that you’re delivering to people.
This is the most common type of marketing that companies do, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s the only type.
The second form of marketing could be called awareness marketing. This is about getting your name out to your customers. You aren’t pushing one specific agenda or mentioning anything other than that your company is there and waiting to help them whenever they need it.
Custom poster printing is a good form of marketing to describe this tactic. The great thing about posters is that you can put them up in specific locations and you know they’re going to stay there for a long period of time.
Each time a person sees your poster they’re going to see your company name, which will help them remember who you are. You don’t need to mention that you’re offering a specific sale, nor do you need to mention any other major announcement. Say who you are, what you sell, and where they can find you. That’s it.
I think the reason why many companies would avoid this type of custom poster printing is because the poster isn’t necessarily telling the customers about anything specific. There isn’t much of a central message other than that the company is there.
But sometimes you don’t need that central message, because letting them see your company name will be more than enough. How else are you going to get people to learn about who you are if they aren’t seeing your name all over the place?
Keeping it simply is often all you need to do to spread your name. A person has to know your company exists in order to come in and buy anything from you. And if you keep waiting for a sale to start advertising, you might end up going a long time without any marketing, and that is the best way to lower your profits.
The biggest job of marketing is to get your name out there. If you don’t have any specific thing to mention, then just tell people that you’re there and waiting. Sometimes that’s all a customer wants to know.
